Should I do 2 or 3 days at Disney? ›

Our standard recommendation for a Walt Disney World trip is four full days, one day in each park. But three days is a good amount, too, and we take pretty frequent three-day visits as well.

I would recommend spending at least one day per park to get a full experience at Walt Disney World. There are 4 theme parks, so you would need to plan for at least 4 days. I also recommend a break day in between to rest up at the hotel.

Disneyland Park Hopper can be worth it, especially if you don't have much time to explore the parks. Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park are close, so hopping between the parks is easy. However, the cost isn't always worth it, particularly if you'd like to hit most of the attractions at each park.

Disney Park Hopper is worth it if...

You want to experience more parks than vacation days you have: Say you want to see Disneyland's iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle, but you also want to experience the new Avengers Campus over at Disney California Adventure. If you only have one day to do it all, Park Hopper is critical.

You can do all Disney parks in 4 days. We've done all 4 parks in one weekend with park hoppers. Although, it wasn't the full experience in each park. But one day in each park with the understanding that you'll probably be very tired without any off days can totally be done.

Five days should be more than enough to experience much of what Walt Disney World has to offer. The list of "Must Do" attractions really changes based on your preferences and traveling party makeup. Nevertheless, adding some things to your "Must Do" list can be easy to do. Here are some you can start with.

If you want to be sure to get to all four theme parks, the Park Hopper is the way to go. Getting to all four in just two days and with a baby may make for a bit of a marathon, though!

I always recommend making your reservations as soon as the dates that you are interested in open up. My family usually books our vacations around 6 months before our arrival date. In my own experience and based on the reports of others, most people find that six to seven days is great but nine days or longer may become too much of a good thing unless you include some non-theme park activities into the mix.
